A Bit About Me
Jennifer Countess von Walderdorff is an accomplished and multifaceted professional with a diverse background encompassing fashion merchandise planning, financial management, authorship, public speaking on diversity and inclusion, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Jennifer's mission is to help people become conscious shoppers, and empower consumers with information or data that can help steer their decisions for more sustainable buys which are also purse-friendly. Jennifer believes that together, we can ultimately slow fashion down and reduce the rate at which pile-ups occur throughout the world of non-biodegradable clothing.
Growing up in the vibrant neighbourhood of Southeast London, Jennifer's passion for fashion and her aptitude for mathematics have always coexisted harmoniously. Jennifer’s distinctive sense of style is enriched by the cultural influences of her Nigerian heritage, passed down by her parents.
While pursuing a degree in Medical Biology at Brunel University, Jennifer's passion for writing began to flourish. After graduating, she embarked on a career in freelance writing, while simultaneously transitioning into the dynamic world of Fashion Retail Merchandise Planning, where her analytical skills and fashion flair converged.

In 2011, Jennifer embarked on her entrepreneurial journey by founding Cheeky Poppins Shoe Clips. This innovative sustainable concept, which focused on enhancing shoes to give them new life, and to reduce waste, received acclaim and earned her several prestigious awards including Best Selected Exhibitor at Pure London.

Approaching her thirties, Jennifer decided to venture to Italy to make her mark in the fashion industry, where she stayed for three transformative months. During her time there, she authored her book, "Look at the Labels''. This book has been developed over her entire career and has been written to educate and empower consumers to make better choices when shopping. It has been ‘labelled’ as the ultimate cheat sheet to personal styling and shopping and reflects her mission towards conscious consumption.

It was during this pivotal period that Jennifer was recruited by Zalando, Europe's largest online fashion retailer, expanding her expertise into analytics and financial management. Here, Jennifer was able to combine her love of fashion, with activism and has become a leading voice in inclusion and equality in the industry, even leading a panel discussing ‘Racism in the Fashion Industry’.
